Creek Cleanup Day

The ALPS group of 14 volutneers supported the annual creek cleanup by picking up trash along Atascadero Creek between Three Bridges Oak Preserve and Curbaril Avenue and in the Salina River. The volunteers hauled out a two pickup loads of trash that was taken back to the event center for proper disposal.

The City of Atascadero and the Atascadero Mutual Water Company sponsor the annual event to reduce the amount of trash that is in out local creeks and to keep it from ending up in the Salinas River and eventually into Monterey Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
