Paloma Creek Park & Horse Arena Planting Projects

Plantings at Paloma Creek Park have included a median planting project in which native trees were installed within the parking lot, as well as plantings near the horse arena and the south side of Halcon Road. The horse arena site was planted with valley oaks, box elder, sycamore, and other native trees and shrubs. Valley oaks were also planted in the triangle of land just north of Halcon Road as part of this effort. At the horse arena site, some of the valley oak materials were planted from bare root. Temporary irrigation was available during the establishment period. The CCC assisted with installation and subsequent weed control. ANTA and its successor committee with ALPS has maintained mulch and helped with weed control.
