Trail Crew - trail grooming below upper junction

The Trail Crew performed some more trail work on the Oak Woodland Trail just below the upper junction down to the bridge. There were sections of the trail where the sandstone was showing causing uneven footing and some other areas where the trail had been worn into two tiers.

The crew broke down the rough sandstone areas and then reshaped the trail back to normal and adjusted the out slope to ensure water runs off the trail as quickly as possible. The trail was then compacted and hardened so it was ready for hikers and rain.

Moisture in the soil allows it to be easily compacted and hardened.
