More trail work at Three Bridges

January 16, 2025

The Trail Crew worked on a section of the Madrone Trail that was in need of some work because the trail had worn down to the rocky sandstone underlayer. Hikers tend to walk around these areas creating a two tiered trail. The crew removed a number of large rocks and then cut into the trail to reshape it back into a smooth surface.  They also adjusted the out-slope of the trail to ensure water runs off the trail. It is a lot of hard work!

Fortunately there is still enough moisture in the soil to allow it to be compacted and hardened.
