Stadium Park Workday

Fourteen volunteers completed the following tasks to help keep Stadium Park looking great:

• Installed a new bench just below the Pinal Avenue entrance.

• Picked up a lot of trash by the Cave on Pine Mountain, underneath Highway 41, and along the pipe fence.

• Raked the entrance road and the garden path.

• Spread out a lot of mulch across from the garden.

• Repainted the kiosk

• Pruned and caged some plants in the garden

• Added new mulch around some of the plants in the garden

To finish off the day, everyone enjoyed scones, brownies and lemonade.  ALPS thanks everyone for a job well done!

The bench was installed to recognize the great efforts of Joan O'Keefe.  She did so much over the years to ensure that Atascadero continues to appreciate, preserve and enhance our oak woodland.
