Trail Crew - Three Bridges Oak Preserve

The ALPS Trail Crew volunteers performed more tread work on the trails at Three Bridges Oak Preserve. 

The crew continued work on the west leg of the Oak Woodland Loop Trailstarting at the 2nd switchback turen and getting up past the 3rd switchback turn. The good job by the crew helps to improve the tread back to original specifications with a slight out-slope to shed rain water off the trail.  

With the recent rains, the trails are in perfect condition to work the ground and re-shape the trail.  ALPS uses hand tools to shape the dirt and then compacts the trail with a plate compactor.
